our story

For over a decade Aggrecycle has have supported the East Midlands construction sector, reducing environmental impact by diverting aggregates away from landfill.

It’s all based around our unique urban quarry in Leicester which was set up in 2010, with the idea of providing a local recycling service for demolition spoils.

Our aim is to provide a quality and reliable supply of a construction materials to building projects around Leicestershire. The circular economy, in action.

In late 2019 we invested significant funds into state-of-the-art Kleemann machinery from Germany. Efficient with time and fuel consumption, our impact crusher and screening plant allowed us to recycle 150,000 tonnes of material in 2020.

Aggrecycle aims to supply a range of WRAP Quality Protocol products and services within the regional construction, demolition and civil engineering sectors.

From utilities companies looking to dispose of spoil, to builder’s merchants delivering a few tonnes to small projects, we’re here to help.

OUR MISSION

Aggrecycle has two key missions – firstly, to provide a flexible service to small businesses and sole traders in Leicester city, Leicestershire and the East Midlands, needing quality aggregates.

That’s why we’ve created a facility which is easy to access and collect from, with a range of clean and high quality products to suit the needs of domestic and small industrial projects.

We’ll deliver, too, as long as it makes sense. So that you can get what you and your customers need in the way that it’s needed – loose load, or bagged if you prefer.

Our second objective is based around the knowledge that 99.9 per cent of demolition and construction waste can be recycled. It’s part of our job to make that happen.

We’re keen to help reduce the carbon footprint of the regional construction industry, by minimising landfill and keeping supply of aggregates local to Leicestershire.

How? By careful pre-planning and maximising the segregation of materials arising during construction processes. This means we can recycle every possible element, or arrange for it to happen.

What then? Re-use it, of course. Preferably locally. Our urban quarry crushes, screens, reprocesses and grades it for reuse in the industry for various applications including sub-bases and the filling of voids.

Our machinery is highly efficient and our deliveries come via the most economical methods. It’s the ‘circular economy’ in action.
